Interview with Scientific Coordinator of the Engineering, Architecture and Logistics Congress Antônio José Rodrigues Pereira
IPH - What did you expect from the Congress and the discussions held there? How do you see the current situation concerning hospital engineering?

Antônio José Rodrigues - During the Congress, the Hospital Congress and the Hospital Fair I could notice that there was a group of attendees that are eager for information. Brazil's political and economic scenario forces us to try to see things like engineer Salim's brilliant and well given lecture on hydric resources. Where is it written that we must have a culture change within society? We have to think of offer as well as demand. How can we as citizens, as well as managers in architecture, engineering and hospital administrators, accomplish anything further being offered the same? This is going to be the great dilemma over the next couple of years. How can I accomplish more with the same?

I wish that after this Congress we should be able to spread information, information should not be a privilege of one or two people. And I believe that the Congress and the Brazilian Federation for Hospital Administrators (Federação Brasileira de Administradores Hospitalares) long for that. It is possible to spread information with some speakers where in fact lecturers and attendees merge into one with one goal: share information. By sharing information, we grow; and this is the goal of this Congress: even out information for everyone in order to make decisions.
