The lecture "Fee for Performance as a Tool to Support the Clinical Body and Aid Cost Management" aimed at clarifying the fee for performance, including the fee for quality, the fee for value and risk share. The development of fee for performance model includes the definition of a patient-driven focus, the organization of a defined model and developing indexes, creating benchmarks, adjusting the risk and disclosing development. Such implementation was very efficient to control claims, it answers to the main accrediting agencies and it led to a significant improvement in the quality of services, besides being an efficient tool for clinical governance.
