Testimony from Scientific Coordinator of the Hospital Hotel Congress Teresinha Covas Lisboa
The core theme of the congresses is "Whole Health" and the Hospital Hotel Congress tried to accomplish this goal. The themes are focused on planning to serve, on the patient-driven service considering the administrative viewpoint, analyzing the physical space and the hospitality towards humanization. We had the opportunity to get to know the International viewpoint of hotel hospital, as well as in Innovation and Expansion of Hospitals in Brazil. It was of extreme importance to hear the experiences of international and national renowned professionals.

The matter is oriented at the core theme, "Whole Health", in which the administrative, technical and human viewpoints will be considered in all lectures.

The Hotel Hospital model is under implementation in public hospitals and is going to be adapted to the reality of each region. We already have trained staff ready to take over this field, from management to operations.

This concern is emphasized by the participation of employees and third-party companies in congresses and courses relating to the filed. As well as by SUS' caring attitude towards its patients. The HumanizaSus program allows such behaviour.

"The National Humanization Policy (Política Nacional de Humanização) exists since 2003 to put into effect SUS' principles in the daily practices concerning management and care, improving public health in Brazil and encouraging sympathetic exchanges among managers, workers and users"
(Ministry of Health).
