The lecture "DRG and P4P: Supporting Tools to the Management of the Clinical Body and the Cost of Assistance" aimed at presenting the DRG - Diagnosis Related Groups ? as a methodology to categorize patients submitted in hospitals according to the complexity of assistance and to show its implementation in a Brazilian hospital. DRG is a combination of main diagnosis, comorbidities, age, surgery procedures. Each DRG is "product of assistance", clinical or surgical, which uses an even amount of resources. The DRG has shown to be effective to raise hospital productivity in about 20%.
