Summary: Implementation of disallowance indexes, control and reduction Alline J. Cezarini; Kelly Cristina Salles Mattos
The lecture "Implementation of disallowance indexes, control and reduction" focused on showing how the Hospital Santa Catarina handled the implementation of indexes to control and reduce disallowances. The strategy of approach consists of: adopting a software that enables online follow-up of indexes, meeting with health insurance companies for negotiations, monthly meetings with everyone involved to discuss the indexes, creating new plans of action for each disallowance item, creating a Registration Centre, ongoing review of registrations and tables, reviewing processes trainings for collaborators. The results presented showed that: the initial and final disallowance were reduced, it took lesser time to present resources, negotiations were faster and with trustworthy data, unpaid resources were controlled and charged and old disallowances were recovered (older than three years).
