The lecture "The Story of an Experience regarding the Safe Use of Medicines" presented the Hospital Sírio-Libanês' experience and the safety of its pharmacy in order to answer how to maintain the quality and safety of the patient in this context. The pharmacy activities embrace: technical support; technical qualification of suppliers; selection of products; receiving products; identifying products; storage; distribution; preparation of injectable medicines; display; clinical pharmacy; monitoring and continuous education. Among the solutions undertaken by the HSL there are tracking medicines, extensive checking of medicine administration, pharmacy surveillance and technologic surveillance, among others.
