The thirteenth issue of IPH magazine brings a thorough panorama concerning the four days during which the 39th Brazilian Congress of Hospital Management and Health Management and the 9th Latin American Congress of Health Managers took place; carried out by the Federação Brasileira de Administradores Hospitalares - FBAH - and the Federaciòn Latinoamericana de Administradores de la Salud - FLAS.
Embracing the theme Health Management: Efficiency, Innovation and Sustainability, the discussions presented national and international experiences that shed some light on creative alternatives towards overcoming financial halts and towards improving the quality of services provided.
Within this issue you may also find the Annals of the Summary of the Congress, which is a collection of the summaries or articles from the lectures and panels presented at Expo Center Norte, São Paulo, SP, Brazil, between the 17th and the 20th of May, 2016. There are twenty-nine texts covering the six themes of the Congresses: financial management and costs; engineering, architecture and logistics; people management and leadership; health management; patient's quality of life and safety; and hospital hospitality. Under the name of the Congress, the reader may find its respective credits and articles.
